I have searched and tried locating this file in the Office folder, system 32 and elsewhere, but is no where to be found.

I wouldn't really mind just using Office just like that, but it doesn't let me install the other Office Programs that I had left out during my original installation, like Publisher or Speech-to-text. Microsoft Office XP Professional w/ Frontpage.

If I go to the CD and click on SETUP.EXE, it gives me this error: After Ive googled for the proplus.msi file. Verify that you have access to this location and try again, or try to find the installation package PROPLUS.MSI in a folder from which you can install the product Microsoft Office XP Professional with Frontpage.     I was using Windows 98, but I had installed MS Office xp Pro w/Frontpage with Service Pack 2 You may simply have to put up with ignoring the prompt.I really did not know which sub-forum this should have been posted in since it's more of a General MS Office problem. So the article may describe the same problem in a different version of office or may describe the same problem occuring under a different set of circumstances. I don't know if you've ever searched the MS KB before but what you'll find is the solution is often described in articles that describe problems that are very similar but not identical to the one you're having. I've searched several possibilities but can't seem to find it now. I recall that there was an article about this it in the Microsoft Knowledge base that offered a fix that involved changing some registry settings. (So, whenever Office thinks it needs to access the installation files, it finds them right there on the hard drive and doesn't bother me with a promt to supply them.) Unfortunately, you can't use this solution because you don't have the installation CDs. The solution that was ultimately employed required copying the Office installation CD files to folders on the hard drive, installing Office from there and leaving the installation files on the hard drive permanantly.
